Wasn't sure what to buy my partner for his birthday,, then came across an ad for this. Talk about perfect!! The image shown was a dead ringer for my dog, Chester. Decided to take a chance, although frequently, when av chanced things b4, it's been less than a perfect choice. But I liked the way the painting was done, big brushfulls of paint, to give a sculpted look. It didn't take long to come, and when I opened it, I was soooo pleased with it. I had chosen a very good foto to copy from, and it came out so well, capturing his colourings and his beautiful, very expressive, eyes. The surround, the wild flowers, was so vibrant, and did indeed give a sculpted look. For all the world like an oil painting,,, at a fraction of the cost! I showed my daughter a picture of it, abd she likes it. But then when she dropped me off, and came in for a chester welcome, i showed her the canvas. Boy was she impressed! She, like me, really liked the foto if it, but the reality, 'in the flesh' pic, was just so much more.... More! Can't really explain the difference, but it sooo came to life. Can't wait for his reaction. I mistined it for his birthday, so he's getting it for Valentines day instead. I know what his reaction is going to be. But I love it so much, am seriously thinking of keeping it for myself!! Only downside, it's not framed, so am hunting for 1 that will do it justice. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is thinking about getting one. I would love to hear other people's opinions.

I'm pleased with the image but if I have one complaint its this. My dog is a Belgian Malinois renowned for their large upright ears. In framing the picture her ears were wrapped over the top of the frame and not visible. Would have been better losing some from the bottom and having her head totally framed.
The quality is good and maybe I'm nitpicking but it spoilt the effect
